We all know texting / phoning is frowned upon whilst driving our cars.
What about mobility scooters??
Having nearly been mown down by one (along with my guide dog puppy) this morning, I was curious.
The user's last minute swerve was prompted by her more able bodied partner walking alongside - she was vigorously texting.
At this stage, I had stopped.

I did pass comment (politely of course) when they did pass, but i didn't hear any response.

You were lucky - I was taken out from behind by a miserable old goat tearing up a pedestrianised high street like Michael Schumacher.

When I had managed to stand up he told me off for getting his way and then tore off again. Had a chat with a PCSO who went off after him in high speed pursuit.

Eventually returned to tell me he was alright. Which was not really my point. I hobbled around with a poorly ankle for a few days.

Speaking to more concerned locals he had. A reputation for leaving a wake of fallen pedestrians in his rear.

To be fair, the lady driver in question was young and slim, so I assume she was in need of mechanical transport.
