Advice on dealing with Home Office? (Spouse visa)
Discussion
Applied for a settlement visa late March (wife from Asia) and on day 60 of waiting (their target date to complete) we get an email saying as our case is not straightforward they won't meet the target.
Have not heard anything since, day 86 now. I can call on a premium line but others doing this say a receptionist will just say, as the email, you have to wait.
I was hoping they would let me or my wife who has to stay in Asia while they deal with this, know what the issue is so we can rectify it? Cannot see what problem there could be.
Anyone have any experience in these areas? Get an MP onto it? Or ....just wait?

Just wait, my wife's took ages, I had a mate in the FO when my wife applied, he said they all took longer than stated, basically they look at criminal record in home country, which can take ages, confirming the marriage, which if outside the UK can take a while and the earnings saving requirement Don't panic.
Did you get married outside the UK? We got married in the UK to make the application easier.
Providing you have a genuine marriage and the money you wont have an issue.
