driving into a local village just now, got a flash and slow down from other drivers, cop bike with camera.
in middle of village other cars were flashing me???
a camera van at the other end too, didnt expect that.
Plenty of places where 'making progress' acceptable, but not in the middle of a village surely?in middle of village other cars were flashing me???

NYP are using bike cops to catch speeders now too?! Not content with their fleet of 12 f
king camera vans!
How the f
k can they justify the use of resources in this way?!
What I never understood is why North Yorkshire goes so far south (the spurious blob that nearly reaches Doncaster)

Because the vans have civvies in them not police.
Cheshire have a few unmarked bikes if that is even more sneaky...
Law enforcement isn't just carried out by the police, hasn't been for a very, very long time. Besides, I'd rather police did something else with their time than sit in the back of a van all day and operate a machine.Cheshire have a few unmarked bikes if that is even more sneaky...

Back in the day when we had police on our motorways it wasn't unknown them to come off the motorway, straight on at the roundabout, and come back onto the motorway!!
I once followed traffic police up the M1. I kept a good distance but we were both doing about 100mph for about ten miles or so.Eventually they went up an off ramp and seemed to be loitering at the top. I suspected they were waiting to see what i was doing so i indicated that i was going from the slow lane to the middle lane and they immediately moved off. I then quickly slowed and followed them up the ramp and sure enough they had got straight back on the road we we were on and were no doubt surprised to find me not there

Does that mean that drivers who flash the other cars can not be done for PCOJ if there are civilians operating the camera?
It has never been PCOJ.Obstructing a police officer, it one was present. (I think)

I won't ask how they form an opinion of speeding then before using the measurement device if they are not Police.

Would be nice to see some action taken against the morons who treat the 30 mph road as a racetrack.
I get a lot more bloody annoyed when I find one on a clear, empty, dry, wide and well sighted NSL road, go and f
king catch someone who is genuinely dangerous and stop trying to make up numbers you b
ds.
The ones pointing they're hairdryer around are good fun though, drop it down to second and get some nice pops and bangs and watch them get all excited only for me to trundle past at 28mph with a friendly wave.
