Today I saw some of the most dangerous driving I have seen in over 30 years of driving and it made me so angry. I want to send the footage to the Met Police (London). Is there a specific site or link I can send it to?

What is the likelihood of the Police actually convicting soneone based on footage alone?

Thank you

Olf

Depends on the severity.

Most police work comes from public information.

With their current capabilities, VHS is the preferred format, although they are trialling ‘laser-discs’ next year apparently.

I know about the Met site but can’t figure it out. I don’t think they have made it easy. I will try again. Also... I am not tech savvy being a 40 year old spinster... no idea how to upload online.

It happens all the time as the police can obligate the registered keeper to state who was driving.

It’ll depends on the quality of your footage and what it shows.

I get people are excited but there is no shortage of these kinds of videos online. In the interest of protecting myself I don’t think it is a good idea to set upa YouTube account. I think the Police need to do their bit. Book the fool and no one else be identified in the matter.

Generally the police won't do anything until your video goes viral so YouTube is definitely the best way.

Only if it gets 500 thumbs up and 30 people arguing in the comments section.

Unless you are a cyclist (Lycra clad optional) catching someone stationary on a phone just checking his emails...

You mean illegally using a mobile phone whilst in control of a vehicle?
