Quite possibly.

Probably not.

Maybe though.

Always quote the original post.

All too often these days, (as with this thread), the OP, for unknown reasons (more often than not because the answers aren't what the OP wants to hear), deletes the original post, and the thread becomes a meaningless waste of time.

Snarky, but you're wrong.

I'm ok hearing that I'll get a NIP in the post. That's fine. What I suppose I wanted to know was, can an officer book you without stopping you. I've never had this situation before, clean license and never had trouble with the plod before. For all intents and purposes, yes, they can.

So will I get a NIP in the post? fk knows, only the officer at the time knows. So, there we are. Pointless thread, over.

Just watched a tt, crawling along in a queue as he was approaching a pedestrian crossing, looking at his phone. I would up the points to nine, nobody seems to worry about using their phone whilst (intending to be) driving.

Looked down and started fiddling with my phone out of boredom. Lo and behold, an officer walking by saw me.
