MrsT7 drove into an ANPR car park recently, drove around the levels and couldnt find a space, so she left.

We then received a parking ticket stating we didnt pay for parking.

Have appealed and had a rejection notice today.

Is it really worth going through the POPLA process ?

As it stands, ist £60 , but if POPLA fail, its a £100....

I dotn want to pay either, but have neve been down this route.

Suggestions or advice please fellas.

Regardless of official processes, these types of organisations want severely telling to get stuffed when they behave like this.

Yes go the popla route.

Check out moneysavingexpert forums popla appeals!!!!
I have done this twice. 1 time popla worked I did a similar thing, wife was heavily pregnant had to pull in to car park off a main road. 10 mins and got a PCN. The other time it didn’t but still ended up getting out of it.
It’s a bit of leg work but I refuse to pay where I feel I have done no wrong.

OP, how long from the day of the offence did you receive the ticket? They only have a couple of weeks to send you a ticket if you are the RK.

Popla is always worth a go.

Ticket came though about a week after the "offense".....

I would ask them to provide the ANPR photos showing the time entered and time left.
Would make compelling evidence if it ever went to court.

OP, is the PPC in question definitely a BPA member?
If so, see Section 13 here - https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/A...
If not, and its ATA is the IPC, then POPLA won't be the adjudicating body.

yes Knowing which PPC is involved will help to formulate the correct strategy.

IIRC go the Popla/IPC route as it will cost the sharks £25 per pop - upheld or not.
