What happened to the old hooligans that would destroy speed cameras? (Other than being sent to jail)
I seem to remember seeing speed cameras with "rubber ring necklaces", a la: https://youtu.be/nRnlRurTwFg - But I've not seen any for a long time.

Nice drive North through France last week and yes an awful lot of the speed cams had been torched. Remnant dregs of the yellow jackets in Nantes and Rouen plus 50 odd CRS polis motors preparing to enter Gay Paree. Sitting at 130 kph in the slow lane, move out pass truck, such good lane discipline.
