Approx 7 months ago I bought an old shed to get around in whilst waiting for a new car to arrive, when I went to tax it it wouldn’t accept the logbook code (google seems to suggest that it could be that I didn’t have the latest logbook section) so my wife taxed it at the post office and set up a direct debit. Time went on and the logbook never arrived in my name and TBH I didn’t really want to pay £25 for one.
The MOT ran out back end of last year and it’s just been gathering dust since. A friend of a friend has offered to buy it, not sure if he plans to break it or MOT and use it.
Is it just a case of him buying it and applying for the log book if he wishes to put it back on the road and me cancelling the direct debit for the tax or is the lack of V5 and the fact I assume it’s not registered to me going to be a headache?

If you're not using it stop taxing it and declare it SORN, ah maybe have problems with that as you aren't down as you don't have a V5 in your name, did you, anybody actually send the change of registered keeper slip off to DVLA?

V5 is now't to do with ownership!

Not sure what £25 has to do with it if you'd followed the correct change of keeper formalities it's free!

Looks like there's a bit of a clusterfk here, but you probably know that!

Sell it to your mate, get a receipt and let him have the hassle.
