This company is in the USA and produces a solution to tow a shipping container.

Now for a 20ft container, it's empty weight is around 2,400 kg. But would this be legal in the UK as shown in the video?

Does anyone know the minimum towing vehicles you would need for this and the license requirement? am I right in thinking you don't need an LGV license, or even 7.5 tonne entitlement for an empty container?

What are peoples views on the legality of something like this in the UK?

Un-braked, no lights, no number plate - I doubt the legality in the UK from my simple minded perspective.

What about if you could rig it with brakes? It looks like it could be legal?

Also it looks like Category C1+E may be the minimum requirement. It allows the holder to drive a large goods vehicle with a maximum authorised mass (gross vehicle weight) of up to 7,500 kilograms (16,535 lb) with a trailer over 750 kilograms (1,653 lb) maximum authorised mass, provided that the maximum authorised mass of the trailer does not exceed the unladen mass of the vehicle being driven, and provided that the combined maximum authorised mass of both the vehicle and trailer does not exceed 12,000 kilograms (26,455 lb).[5]
