French speeding ticket.

Heads up fellow motorist, i recieved my first French speeding ticket today.

Obviously the yellow jackets didnt destroy ALL the speed cameras. Bugger...

8th of March if I read it right by blowing up the page a bit.

They usually seem to take 5-6 months to make there way across the channel.

My concern is that I go often and know that from when this ticket is dated I have set off many more cameras.

Doesn't actually say anywhere about enforcement, only that the "fine" increases to 180 euros.

The form is also singularly lacking in providing any evidence.

There also appears to be no way of requesting a court hearing.

These days I would ignore it, there is no way of ascertaining if someone isn't paid to sit at the side of the road taking down foreign number plates and sending out scam demands for payment.

Replying admits you received it.

If replying say something like "without evidence as to the alleged offence and evidence as to the identity of the driver the registered keeper of the vehicle is not liable to pay"

fk, another one just arrived 96kph in a 90kph. €45 fine. French are getting petty now...less than 4mph over the speed limit.grrrr

Actually says 91Km\h in a 90km/h zone what the actual fk...that is taking the piss now.

They are in France.. and in many other countries Which is why they can get us, but we can't get them.

All the camera are forward facing now, I could just bin them but I travel a lot into France/Belgium so not worth the st storm of being stopped..

On other paperwork there's an app you can download to pay. I'll be doing this on a credit card that I rarely use.

Gtidriver you will see that any speed below 100 kph is reduced by 5 kph so 96=91.
Any speed over 100 is 10%
Local paper yesterday on the A28 near Le Mans young driver 178 kph car taken away from roadside.
