V5 Logbook Address change

Hi

Hopefully this is in the right forum..And I apologise...this may seem like a stupid question/post.

I moved house and accordingly filled in the new address on my V5, signed and dated it etc. and then for whatever reason (Lazy, I forgot, didn't bother etc) I never actually sent the document off to the DVLA. 6 Months later, I've moved house again and have re-discovered my unsent V5 with my now old address on it.

What's the best method to rectify this, Can I cross it out and write a separate letter to explain the situation. Can I simply tipex it out and re-write it.. Or do I need a new V5? I'm worried the DVLA might think I've stolen the logbook or something. All I need to do is send the V5 off and get it changed to my new address. I couldn't find an obvious answer on google/DVLA website etc

You could always try the tippex route, or use form V62 to apply for a new one;

Yeah, just apply for a new one. "I have moved house but cannot find my V5 to change the address"

Shame you cant do it online like a change of keeper :-(

There's a charge if you lose the V5. Think it's £25, which would buy a few tubs of tippex

I thought you could do a change of address online these days and they will send out a new V5 once processed?

Nope. Just change of ownership.

True, but doesn't raise any silliness about "why has this been altered?" Might well be absolutely fine, but you never know.
