New “spot speed” cameras

Anyone know what this new “Vector SR” does? Is it a replacement for GATSO? Does it flash normal light or do the IR illuminators flash instead?

Have a read of the press release on the page you linked to. It explains that it doesn’t flash, uses IR illumination in dark conditions.

I would imagine that it does a frame count between 2 virtual points within its field of vision.

Plus a second camera for verification and ANPR. Unlike a wet film, it could operate in very low levels of lighting so may not need a flash.
