Can/should police do anything?

Evening
At 4.15am Sunday morning, a numpty drove the wrong way up our road (one way street), took a long time attempting to park, hit our neighbors car, got out the car (leaving it touching their car and a long way from the kerb) and stumbled off in a drunken manner. I know this as I have it all on Cctv. It’s now Thursday night, and the car is still in exactly the same position, without so much as a parking ticket. The police were called by both myself and the neighbor on Sunday and nothing has happened.
In itself, not crime of the century, but it’s driving the wrong way up a street, leaving the scene of an accident, and (although it can’t be proven) drunk driving.

I get that parking issues generally are, it’s more the whole one-way street thing that’s bugging me. The person who was driving obviously lives fairly locally as I’ve also seen him parking his work van on the road (yes, that was facing the wrong way too). He said that apparently he finds it too difficult to park if he drives the right way down the street! elise2000 said:

They probably won't be removing the car, but that doesn't mean they haven't visited/spoken to the driver.

To be fair, I don’t know this for sure. However I think if they had been in touch with him, they would have told him to park it correctly at the very least! And would have been in touch with either the neighbor who owns the car he it, or me who has the footage of it. Whichever one they know shouldn't be higher graded, quite happy to trust the actual coppers having to do the work to prioritise their time correctly.If there really are no such incidents, then they should be given more resources. I don't think that coppers don't want to deal with this stuff, and when I say the police "can" do something here, I mean it is within their capability to do so, whether they have the capacity to is a different question.

Not at the correct angle to see dent being made, but shows the force of the impact. Also dent in bumper lines up with corner of his car. Or was it already broken.
