Speed awareness course ..when do they measure the 3 yrs from

Is it from the date of the offence or the date you attended the course?

google says : its the offence, which makes sense

"No more than 12 weeks have elapsed since the date of the alleged offence. There were no further offences committed at the time of the alleged offence. You have not attended a speed awareness course within the 3 years prior to the current offence. You were driving at a speed which qualifies as per the table below."

If google is right here, it's saying it's 3 years between previous course and new offence, which is what I think the OP wanted to know.

When I had an NIP the letter said from the date of the course.

In my case, it wasn't critical, but another few days and it would have been.

When on the course, I questioned one of the course presenters during a coffee break and they said no, it is the date of the offence.

I think it is a bit of a grey area.

That would be annoying as the offence was in July and course was in Oct.
