Parking a car without MOT?

Local garage is a repair centre, not an MOT test centre. The garage par customers cars (and some none customer cars) all over the place on nearby streets, pissing off local residents as parking is a premium.
I understand vehicles that are insured, tax'd, mot'd etc can be parked wherever.
I understand DVLA are the only ones who cna prosecute/clamp/tow for no tax.
Is there anything about parking without MOT? I know it's £100 fine for driving without mot, but what about parking? I assume some legislation covers it but i cant find anything.

Not as far as I’m aware & it would make sense for the offence to only be when driving as many people have no option for storing a car off road that’s waiting for parts without potentially driving it further that necessary.

t as it sounds the residents have no more right to the spaces on the public road than the garage and it’s customers.... catching one customer with lapsed tax will hardly solve the residents problem and they’d be better focusing their efforts on persuading the council into charging them £100s a year for residents permits.

You can drive for the purpose of repairs I think. So the garage would always have a defence in terms of test driving or remedy the identified faults or whatever.un1corn said:

That doesn't mean the garage can leave his un-MOT'd sheds dotted about the surrounding streets.

"If your vehicle doesn't have a current MOT certificate you can only drive it to or from a pre-arranged MOT or to or from a pre-arranged appointment to have defects remedied that were discovered on a previous test"
