Anybody have experience on here of this? My wife's ex partner makes the figues up every month for 4 children depending on what mood he is with her. We have gone via the CSA and originally it was £600 a month, we have just had a review and it has gone down to £105. We strongly believe he is manipulating the figures. He is a crap dad to boot.
Do you know how his income is generated?
Liability is based on the most recent record of taxable income. The CMS obtains this automatically from HMRC. If he is self employed / director shareholder then he has a degree of control over this and can work the figures favourably.
If he runs a Ltd co you need to ask the CMS to apply a variation to the calculation taking unearned (i.e. dividend) income into account.
