can a solicitor firm be sued for negligence?

One of my cousins has been allegedly let down by the so called expert solicitors he used for a motoring offence and as a result he lost his case and as per his version the law firm has missed out some evidence that the CPS had provided by saying they have not received it which was found out to be untrue by the magistrate and also he says the expert witness he had hired for the defense has given all his pre-booked holidays but still due to negligence the law firm has agreed on a trial date when he was not there when they had the option of selecting the dates

Is there any way he can sue a solicitors firm for negligence especially will another set of lawyers file a case against fellow "professionals" ?,also wold there be any firms willing to take it up on a no win no fee basis as he wont be able to afford more legal fees right now

Yes, you can sue a solicitor for professional negligence.

You can also make a complaint to their regulator via the legal ombudsman in England and Wales or the scottish legal complaints commission in Scotland.

Firms will act on a no win no fee, but there would have to be a prospect of substantial damages - which it isn't clear there would be in your case.

He needs to complain to the Solicitors first and refer the matter upwards when their complaints procedure has been exhausted

I thought motorists were automatically guilty of all crimes, and a solicitor would only add to the bill
