Which is prefered option

As per topic. Locally we've had a council demolition of local building in town centre ,where safety barriers were breached and as a result one one way road has been shut to traffic, after entry to the one way system. There is an alternative- a street where half way down there is a traffic system, where aproximately halfway down the street further progress is prohibited as there's a no entry sign. The town centre system has restrictions on entry, which allows blue badge holders to enter. ( that's me) .So , once on this side street, do I either turn around and drive in th wrong direction or take (IMHO the safer option) and drive through the no entry sign). I will advise that before entering the one way system ,there are no signs advising that exit is blocked.
So what is higher penalty, drive against flow in a one way system or drive a short distance through a no entry sign. I know my choice .

I'll possibly wait a long time for an a answer, but I'll bring it to the attention of my local County councillor. Thought some leagl eagle might lik to comment, but it looks like they are off eating Lamb /rabbit or some othr meat ,or perhaps G&T, at the Tory club, before it shutsdown through lack of membership.
