Old address on driving license, plus speeding ticket...

As the title suggests, I've been caught speeding and received the FPN and the letter telling me I need to send my photocard license off.

Just realised I never updated it (I moved years ago, I'm an idiot).

What's the best option here? Just send it off, and hope they send it back to this address?

Go knock at the old house and give the new occupant I heads up to expect a letter?

Or, will I get in trouble got not having it updated? I'm aware that it is an offence.

Send it off with a cover letter saying I'd like to change my address too?

Try and get the address changed first, but risk not getting it back in time?

Something else I've not thought of?

Apply (now) online for a new one, send your old one off to them.

I doubt you’ll get any grief for the address.

Sweet, on it. Going to be cutting it fine I think - got the FPN ten days ago! Need to be more organised!

Had this same issue.
I just sent my old one off.
No issues raised, I was simply required to get a new licence with the correct address on.
