Truck damaged in car park

Evening, I can't do much with it being Saturday night but wondered what consensus on outcome is.
Last week I was in a multinational companies shop with my truck parked in the carpark outside. When I walked out I overheard a woman ask her partner 'did he just hit that?',at this point the only vehicle moving was a flatbed citroen relay and my truck was the nearest to it's back end so quickly put the reg in my phone. I had a look at the front corner of my truck and couldn't see anything so
assumed either not my truck or they were mistaken. I noticed at this point the guy went the long way out of the industrial estate and as I passed the other end of the estate on my way out he was there waiting to get out so double checked the reg just incase. Fast forward and I now see that I have a scuffed number plate, a bent number plate holder behind and a small chunk out of the centre of my bumper.
My mistake at this point is I've deleted the draft text with the number plate as I didnt think I needed it. I've rang customer services of the company who said it was a branch issue to ask if they had CCTV of the carpark.
My question is odds on a) getting to see or at least them viewing and giving me the plate
B) if I get A somehow getting the guy to sort the damage.
And yes I'm a tool for deleting such valuable information and not asking the independent people what they saw but I was on my work time and wanted to get to my next job.
Any input apart from telling me I'm an idiot appreciated.

You will not, or at least should not, be allowed to view the CCTV.
Your insurer can request it from the car park owner and can then use it to pursue the owner of the offending vehicle through his insurer if the footage actually shows anything useful, which is doubtful unless you were right in the path of a camera in broad daylight.
