Got letter through. 81 in a 60 - t
t. No disputing it. No excuses. I got caught doing a similar speed 4 and a half years ago and received 5 points and a hefty fine. From looks of the updated banding, I'm in Band B which would be 4-6 pts and 150% of weekly wage. There's also mention of a ban. How likely is the ban and is it likely I'll be summoned? Last time I could plead guilty by post.
I recognise I've got myself into bad habits and really feel this will spark the change. Both times have been on same stretch to work. I need to get a grip.
Any help on my questions would be great.

This is just a fairly standard rap, you will get 3 points and a fine of £100.
So calm down and, as you suggested, start driving in a more relaxed, legal manner.
I thought I was for the high jump in the summer, but nothing came of it.
However, I’ve calmed things down and no longer have that period of worry waiting for the post to arrive after a naughty drive.
It’s actually quite satisfying!!

As already mentioned, 81/60 is too fast for a course but well within the fixed penalty threshold. You should anticipate a £100 fixed penalty with 3 points. t. No disputing it. No excuses. “Updated banding” (not an expression I would ever use) only applies if you fail to comply with the fixed penalty conditions and your case ends up before a court. Sadly, I doubt this was explained to you in the online article.
I told a certain car magazine that their speeding fines 2019 article is garbage but, of course, nothing was done and the nonsense is still online.
