It would have to be exceptional like speeding through a long average speed check at 60 and receiving multiple tickets on one occasion for me to have any forgiveness or concern about hardship.

If it's that many points on multiple separate occasions then they are either too incompetent to be on the roads, or they don't give a fk about the actual hardship and are taking the piss.

I think this normal happens when the points are given in absence of the driver , ie they can’t track him/her down due to incorrect DVLA information and they start racking up points as they fail to comply with anything. They end up with a st load of points but don’t realise. So they don’t get caught speeding 20 times , they get caught once and efficiently just keep ignoring all correspondence and the point rack up

Not quite. Usually because of a change of address and failure to inform DVLA. 78 points is probably 13x 6 points for failing to give driver information. First they know about the conviction is when bailiffs trace the new address and attend with a demand for 13x £811.

That’s what I meant by incorrect DVLA data as in not updated by the driver so incorrect , not the DVLA’s fault
