Wasting my time?
Discussion
In brief:
Last week wife went to Lidle with her disabled 85 yr old mother and 8 year old granddaughter driving a newly purchased (not new) car.
Came out hour or so later and car won't start - rang me and 15 minutes later I can't start it either (rather weird but that's another matter).
Rang breakdown - 1 hour wait - it is now absolutely peeing down and cold so I took them all home in my car and returned to wait for breakdown company - turn key an lo and behold it starts!
Take her car home - pick her up - go back collect my car and go home with both cars.
Today - Parking eye - PCN £100 - overstaying 2hr limit by 40 minutes..
Worth appealing or wasting my time?

Do you have any paperwork from the AA also?
All done with phone and texts and recovery driver had a hand held thingy I signed - have got reference No's etc Mrs not got receipt either but can print off bank to show spending.
I'll plea to their better nature and see what happens.
To be fair, give them a chance. They're likely to be fine when it's explained to them.
My mum abandoned her car on double yellows when it broke down before a family funeral. Council were totally fine about it when explained and cancelled the fine.
I imagine they're less understanding if you're a serial offender with a duff car and multiple funerals.

Had a parking ticket from Leeds City Council once many years back when my Focus decided it didn't want to go any further and was abandoned on double yellows. I went for a coffee when waiting for recovery.
Contacted council, sent them a copy of the invoice for recovery and they cancelled fine.
Talk to Lidl, they should cancel it.

As long as they know you're not taking the piss, they're more amenable than many people expect.
Wouldn't start again about 3 weeks later but they refused point blank to come out as it was the "same thing" as previous. So I had to arrange collection myself. Then had find a garage (vehicle electrician) that could diagnose a Mitsubishi Outlander, get it there and wait a week before he could look at it!
Turned out it was the throttle butterfly valve jammed shut as the shaft had worn and had a flatspot on it. All sorted now and better breakdown cover obtained.
