01 Restriction?

just noticed on my driving licence i have 01 on all my groups. This means i have to wear glasses or contacts whenever driving but i had laser eye surgery 10 years ago and i haven't needed or worn glasses since that day.
I don't think i have to get it removed but it looks like it possible but not easy to do. Anyone every had it removed? should i bother, someone said insurance could use it as a wiggle out in extreme cases but i would be surprised if that was the case

I think it might be the 01 code you mean.
Unless it's changed 101 is not for hire so for example it's on my grandfather rights C1 category along with a 01 as I do wear specs.

It's my understanding you should inform DVLA if things change and at least it's a hassle if you get stopped.

101 code is not for hire and reward do you mean code 01?

If it's code 01 it does not mean you must wear glasses/contacts just that you may need them. Provided you can meet the minimum eyesight requirements without correction you are fine to drive without them.

If you want the code removed contact DVLA and they will sort it.

You'll probably be better having the condition removed to avoid any confusion.
