Advice about delayed medical report from RTC

Just looking for some advice.
A summary in brief - knocked off motorcycle in June 2017 by a car. No problems with insurance, paid out soon after for the value of the bike. Looks to be going 50/50, so am looking to claim for half of excess, gear and injuries.
Injuries were to back, neck, shoulder and wrist, taken to hospital, checked out ok nothing broken so just rest and recovery. Main issues were a flair up of previous trapped nerve issues, and ongoing wrist pain.
Saw medical expert who examined and wrote report stating injuries and expected recovery time. Everything healed 'on time' except for my wrist pain which was ongoing. Went to GP, referred to hospital for tests, all record available etc. Wrist is 99% recovered with just an occasional flair up.
Problem now is, as the wrist took longer, the law firm acting on my behalf need an amended medical report from the expert - which doesn't seem to be forthcoming - and has dragged on for over a year now.
Last communication from the law firm was that they had raised the issue to management to ask for an urgent response to the report request - that was at the start of December.
Basically, any advice on what to do to get this settled, if any? Its not a big deal in the great scheme of things, but over 2 1/2 years later im still out of pocket for replacement gear etc, and would just like to get it all done.

Ask them to use another expert, you are paying for the service and all the medical records are available, so I would think any orthopaedic specialist can deal with the report
Thanks, i will ask them.Dibblecorse, I don't know - just put it in as an aside, I do know it means i'll only receive half of anything awarded.
