How many PCNs?

A car that I am registered keeper of was parked in the same space for several days without displaying the parking permit whilst the driver was away. I have so far received two PCNs for two consecutive days. Are there any guidelines/rules on how many PCNs can be generated for the car being parked for several days without moving?

In case anyone is interested and to avoid too much PH "OP blaming" , the parking space concerned is actually the parking space allotted to the driver, but the driver has been unable to make contact with the management company to get their permit (because the management company is utter ste). The driver was unwise to park in their space without a permit, but did so.

I'm fearing that the number of PCNs will get quite large as the driver was away for a two week period.

I realise this example is a council penalty ticket, but it looks like one per 24 hour period would be considered 'reasonable'.

when you say pcn this is a parking company rather than council?

There is plenty of precedent that a householders lease/ownership of a space over rides the parking contract.

A friend encountered a similar situation, ended up speaking to the man who was doing the ticketing, who said max was 7 tickets. Car had been left unattended for a month, parking permit had slipped out of view, and only 7 tickets were written. Not sure if this is guideline, rule or specific to the company involved though, and was also a number of years ago so may not be the same now. I’m

I may be wrong , BUT if the parking space is on the lease of the property and is noted as for the sole use of the leaseholder, then that lease will trump anything that the management company do after the lease has been signed, unless there has been amendments issued and agreed by the leaseholder.
The fact that a PPC has rocked up and started planting bits of paper on a car in his space, doesn't mean tiddly squat.

Put another way
You own/rent/lease a house with a drive on it. You allow your mate to park on it. What would be his and your reaction if they found a request to pay 50.00 or whatever for the privilege of parking on it, when you already have that right enshrined in the lease?
The PPC may argue that their rules and regs state that a permit has to be shown, but have you agreed to them patrolling your property? or if the manangement co have said here is a permit, thats irrevalent as you already have permission by dint of the lease.to park there
The showing of a permit is only a courtesy nothing more

Get the lease out and read the small print about parking, and if it specifies a paticular spot, then write back to the PPC to tell them in effect to jog on, and if they wish to pursue it you will happily see them in court.with a claim for harrasment if they persist and start sending debt collectors.Also send a letter to the management company advising them that they are jointly liable for the PPC actions as they employed them ( there is a phrase but i cannot remember it, but the gist is. that they a not allowing you undisturbed residence or similar,again pepipoo will put you right)
It is your property and not theirs to operate their parking business on

I would also strongly suggest that you get onto pepipoo for more detailed advice. and as i always tell posters on here, you don't have to but it is your money they want not mine.

Thanks all for the help so far. It is a slightly strange one. It is a private PCN by the way. It is a freehold house that has the use of a space that is managed by a management company. The house is on the corner of a main road and I think some sort of private road where there are flats. The private road area is looked after by a management company and the parking spaces by a parking company. I've not managed to ascertain what the document is that grants access to the parking space for the house. The management company are not interested in the parking and say that the parking company must be approached direct to get the relevant parking permit.

All a bit strange. As suggested, I might pop over to pepipoo to see if anyone has experienced this kind of setup before. although of course anyone here who has any ideas about how this works, so chime in!
