CALLING 999 while driving, Where did my call go too ?

Just putting it out there!!! Was heading east on the M6 got on a junction 3 and got carved up by a c**t in a scruffy VW, dived from the inside if the 2 lane slip road just missing my motorhomes front wing. Anyway he then failed, due to heavy, traffic to merge into the inside Motorway lane in time, so he then ended up still on the hard shoulder with me now on his outside. when he finally got onto the motorway he then drove on my outside until junction 1 , mirroring my speed and making threatening gestures, At this point I was getting worried, as he looked very 'eastern european' !!!. Called 999 and apologised for using the phone while driving, gave them his reg and mine and explained situation, at this point think he realised I was calling the police and he shot off into the fast lane, and not seen again. (Guilty Conscience/Criminal Intention), Anyway, point of my rambling, where was my 999 call too, local plod or generic call centre ??? just interested.

Wow!Your 101 & 999 call will go to the control room of whichever constabulary’s area you were in at the time. Occasionally in border areas or due to poor phone location you will be connected to a neighbouring force who will still take the job on and transfer it to the relevant force if urgent or transfer you over if appropriate
It depends, if you had told them he was probably a Romanian sex trafficker which sounds like you deduced quickly (well done by the way), they would have redirected you through to the breaking news number at the Daily Mail
