Essex police series and standards

Channel hopping and I caught a few minutes of a reality show following Essex police.

Two youngish officers in a car were effing and beeing non stop through the 5 or so minutes I could be bothered watching and it made/makes me wonder why they and the police would want to do and allow that on camera? (They were in the car and trying to find a suspect in the streets, becoming frustrated they could not)

Sure, for me it just makes them look unprofessional and silly but I accept perhaps things have changed and neither the young nor the police see this as a tad crass and unnecessary - particularly as this was done knowing they were being filmed for public entertainment/educational purposes.

For me it was and is not a good image/is unprofessional but what say ye?

Ha! That was actually why I thought 'ere, let's check this out'. Think they were in Southend, then it moved to Colchester but that was enough for me.

To be fair, I did see a bike cop yesterday on the A130. Now that really is rare.

I can’t think when I last saw a police car round here. Possibly 5 years ago?

In my time in the force as an officer and as Police staff - day to day language (male and female) was generally fairly 'agricultural' - though certainly not when we had the Police, Camera, Action teams out with us.

I’d rather see them warts n all. When I call 999 I couldn’t care less if they’re swearing while looking for a suspect. Why change it for TV.
