Filming Yourself Doing 150 mph

A moderator of a car specific FB group posted a video of himself driving at 170mph. No mention of a track day, right hand drive/obvious left hand road, and you could see oncoming traffic (vans etc.) in frame! This was posted during lockdown.
I called out the poser and was immediately shot down by various members stating that I was obviously a Prius driver, a pussy, or I must drive a granny. After all, who doesn’t buy their cars to go fast? Any attempt to highlight that this level of thinking is fine in relation to a track, but not on public roads, went completely over their heads. I was shocked.
Left the group; plenty of other more sensible car-specific groups around ...

I was surprised to see a Clio on an A-road, I'm surprised even a RenaultSport can get to 150. I was expecting some sort of Audi on a Motorway.

Maybe it’s because I live in a less populated area of the UK with a lot less traffic, but having a quick 150mph blast for a few seconds here and there is relatively commonplace amongst the people who own cars easily capable of it.
You would be really silly to record it on video though.

If you have a car where 150mph can be achieved in a few seconds, a quick squirt to 150mph is more likely to be over and done with without anyone else seeing (or being caught out if you mess up).The video was shot in a Renault Clio, and lord knows how long she had her foot buried in the carpet to hit that 145mph peak, hence why she passed so many people in the process and some went to the police.
Your car's 150mph squirt might be better compared to a 90mph squirt in her Clio.
