unless I am misunderstanding what you are getting at, I can't imagine why not.

It happens everytime you change a car, you will be using no claims earned on previous one, dont think it matters whether it's van to car or the other way round.

Why not ask your insurance company?

I've used car NCB on a Ford Ranger so I'd say yes.

I insured a VW Transporter on a social , domestic and commuting policy with direct Line and LV. Was cheaper than business and i used my full NCD.
