Speed awareness course criteria - Staffordshire police

Does anyone know the whether the speed awareness course eligibility criteria for Staffordshire Police is the same +10%+9mph used by other forces?

Other forces seem to have this information openly available on their websites and state that the criteria might differ between forces. Does anyone know if this criteria is the same for Staffordshire Police? And if so, is it strictly enforced, asking on behalf of someone with a previously clean license who was allegedly driving at 88mph on the motorway and is wondering whether responding to the NIP with a letter requesting a speed awareness course might be of benefit.

See link above, up to 86mph in a 70mph limit qualifies for speed awareness course pending a clean license with not having been on a course in the previous three years. Link says this criteria varies for different police forces however.

I think you have to be offered a course not request one

You can indicate on the form if you would like a course, whether it makes any difference to the outcome I doubt it but gives them a sadistic sense of satisfaction to dish out points and crush any hope of leniency.
