Taxing a car having lost the V5

Hopefully someone can help!

I need to tax my car (been off the road for a month) but some how have lost the V5c.

I can't wait for a new V5 as need to use the car urgently.

Read somewhere you can use a V62 form and tax the car at the same time, just wondering if anyone had successfully done this?

You can tax at a post office after completing a V62 form (Application for a vehicle registration certificate).

It'll cost you an extra £25, though.
