Rock thrown through window but Police don’t seem to care?

A local 19 year old lady had a rock thrown though her closed side window which then smashed her windscreen. She ended up having glass fragments taken out of her head, but local reports say the police refused to take any action, not even to record the incident, Surely this is wrong?

Sounds a bit odd this. Presumably the police either did not believe her or she did something to prompt it and they made it clear if she proceeded she could get in grief herself.

Otherwise, criminal damage, assault, aggravated assault etc seem to be a given.

Although the collective noun for a group of Karens is not a bunch, but rather "an entitlement of Karens", although "a complaint of Karens" is an acceptable alternative.

Because the "local plod" have not publicly denied the incident happened, that means the Police don't care about it?

How does that work?


My monies on the reality being, the Police have actually recorded the incident, but have told the driver involved that it's highly unlikely they will catch anyone for it (simply being realistic about the situation), and the driver is unhappy about it, so they've gone running to the local press, crying that the Police don't care.

It would be recorded but if no evidence to go on how would the police proceed with an investigation?
