What is this green roadside camera?

Hi,

does anybody know what the purpose of this green rodside camera is?
It is located at the Wales/England border at Llanymynech.
As you can see from the image below it appears that one camera is aiming at the road as you enter Llanymynech and one pointing at the road as you enter into England




Anybody have any idea?

As mentioned they are traffic flow monitors.

I believe there are 2 types-

Green ones owned by the Highways Agency

Blue ones owned by Traffic Master.

They're the old Traffic Master cameras, not sure who takes responsibility of them now however,

Ambwlans counter. If they don't come back Drakeford sends a toe truck to bring them to heel.
