If one receives a served Form A? Do you then need to send your own Form A application as well to the court - be joined to this existing proceeding i.e. saying what you are asking for?

Who did you receive it from? Was it a copy supplied by your ex / her solicitor as a courtesy or has it come from the court? As this relates to finance presumably a petition for divorce has already been served by either one of you?

As the respondent In financial proceedings you don’t need to fill in another application. The next step would be to hear from the court which will set out a timetable for next steps. You’ll probably want to start looking at form E and compiling all your info to get a head start as it’s daunting.

Do you have legal representation?

Hi theboss,

Im ok with the rest

Its just I know with child proceedings, both side need to file to ask what they want, so wondered if the same for Financials too.

Looking back at my notes after the other side issued Form A, the court notified us and set out a timetable by which we were to disclose our form E's. On the form E there's a section 5 where you set out what you (as the respondent) are seeking so I guess it all goes there.

Good luck.
