Getting Licence back after Disqualification

A little while to go yet, but I was banned under Totting Up, sent the licence off to DVLA as requested. What's the process of getting it back? Parts of the DVLA site mention a certain form to be sent in 56 days before the ban ends (but I think that's for drink drivers)... do they just post it back or do you have to reapply for a new licence beforehand? Ban ends in the New Year.

As you were banned for more than 56 days you will need to reapply for your licence. The DVLA should send you a form to complete about 56 days before the end of you disqualification.

Thanks. I didn't see anything on DVLA's site for the form, just in case it gets delayed by COVID-19. I've calculated that it should be some time in December. I miss the convenience of driving, but have adjusted to public transport for now.

This subject was covered in another post a couple of months ago. If you have re-applied in good time then you will be entitled to start driving irrespective of whether your licence has been delayed. I assume you have been given the date that the ban ends by the court?

The ban ends Jan 31, so I calculate December 5 will be 56 days. I just fear backlog by COVID-19 would delay even getting a form sent out.
