No win no fee lawyers

Anyone have any experience? I have a personal injury claim to pursue. The bit I am grappling with is that most cases are settled out of court. If the lawyer takes 30% of the settlement fee, then why wouldn't you just pay for pre action etc. That said, if the other side takes it a long way down the process, it could expose you to greater risk.

Any experiences or advice welcome. It's a serious claim and must be pursued.

Check if you have any legal expenses insurance on any insurance first.

Dont worry too much about a deduction if no LEI, the deduction will only be made if the claim is won so more important to find a decent solicitor to actually win.

Depending on the type of claim, the solicitor may only get fixed costs, which may be minimal

thanks that's helpful. It's the settlement scenario that interests me. If the other side folds after pre action, it could be the most expensive letter ever written!

Most LEI will only normally kick in if in the opinion of a professional, there is a better than 50% chance of winning
