M1 Southbound cameras in action today

I've never seen anything like it. Heading south near Sheffield. Plenty of warning that inside lane is shut (red X) along with a 40mph limit. I move out of the lane closure and hit the cruise control to 40 with around 150 yards to go. The first car flew past at around 70. Flash. The next around the same. Flash. The next (nice RS5) was only doing around 45-50. Flash. As I go past the thing was flashing constantly in my rear view mirror until it went out of sight.

You can't mess about with these new cameras. It was insane.

If you mean the one just before the Meadowhall exit then I've also seen it doing a good impression of a strobe light on speeders.
