Out of idle curiosity, how many PH'ers don't have a Photo Card Driving Licence and are still on paper?

And if so, does this present you with any problems?

Paper licence and no problems to date,although I am thinking of replacing with the new card as it is a bit tatty and held together with sellotape

Still on paper, no intention of moving, so probably never changing it, only use it for ID when collecting parcels.

My dad did this, I think he had to get a card even he turned 70 though.

Paper licence here = no problems at all. Produce a debit/credit card to collect parcels

Paper for me, no issues and no point in going for a 10yr renewal cycle unless you have to; 70 or change address I think

Paper here, no problems hiring cars all over the world and recently used it to get a Chinese one

Photocard, I've seen two instances where people have been turned away with just the paper licence.
First was whilst hiring a car in Scotland the person infront of me was getting irate when they were declined and the second was at a trackday where the driver had to go find and then plead with the organiser to let them sign in but missed the safety briefing due to this so missed out on an hours worth of driving.

Paper here, tatty and held together with sellotape, I've never hired a car either here or abroad so don't how I'd get on, I will be hiring something next year in the UK so I may get a card one just to be on the safe side.

I do get the odd funny look from the young hosts, when presenting it upon booking in, on work courses that involve driving,

Had to change when we moved and was gutted, loved my paper one. Never had an issue with it other than the stupid teenager in the shop who regularly Id'd me and had clearly never seen a paper licence before.

How does a paper licence even work as proof of age ID though?

Why are folk so obsessed with keeping their paper licence?

Photocard one is so much more practical especially as you can view your driving record online these days.
