DVLA? working hard.

Below is a copy of an e-mail that arrived this morning, (looks like the DVLA home working system needs some fine tuning!!) the missing letters are substituted when transposed to PH, the missing letters are in bold and some in italics, is it an attempt to slip a virus in?, and of course is personal use of DVLA allowed?

OP, you are an easy mark for fraudsters. That is a blatantly obviously fake email and not from DVLA at all. Seriously, you need to wise up as otherwise you may fall victim to a fraud.

The OP may perhaps be a bit naive - he has posted what might be his email address here. I do not regard email addresses as secrets, but some people do.

To fall for this sort of thing, you need to be gullible, and perhaps also pre-disposed to think ill of Government orgs.

The language used in the email is a sufficient indicator that it is not from DVLA. Credit cards do not have money on them. A check of the email metadata might reveal that it is not from a real gov email address.

I got the same email. I was kind of relieved that my car hadn't been axed.

Incidentally [e-mail] is a genuine email address.

OP, there are a few emails on show in your original post.

Not sure if you want to edit them out or not. As BV says some people like to keep them private as it can reduce the amount of spam you get.
