Speeding ticket - paid - license sent but returned back!

Hi Folks in Dec I was caught doing more than 50 in a 50.

So paid the £100, sent the license, and just had license returned with the form stamped 'PROCESSED' but points not added.

Am I supposed to send it to DVLA for points to be added?!? Very unclear on the form what happens next.

Never had a ticket before and online suggests they will send it to DVLA and I'll get it from DVLA with points.

The police/DVLA don't put points on your paper licence any more, as they're being phased out in favour of the card style licences.

If you want to find out how many points have been put on your licence, you'll need to put an online request into the DVLA. It's a free service, often used by hire car companies, to find out how many points potential customers have.

thanks - looks like they dont put them on the plastic license either. Was just bothered as I'd returned it and it came back without being updated!

You're quite right - nothing gets stamped onto your plastic licence. The only place any endorsements are stored are on the DVLA's computer system.
