Advice on PCN (several) my Mrs has received

URGGGGHHHH.
The Mrs has been driving to school (work) and somehow she hasn't realised there was a no right turn sign, so she has been turning right. She has so far received 3 fines and now that I have pointed out her mistake, is expecting several more over the coming days, possibly up to 10!
Is there any point in challenging the notice and explaining exactly what has happened? Would you wait for the final one to arrive (latest one is from the 21st) before contesting, or just contest now and explain that she expects several more up to 1st Feb to arrive.
She could be facing £600+ for what is admittedly 100% her fault, but not quite in the same realm of parking illegally on purpose etc, maybe the council will write some off? Or will they run their hands at such a stupid mistake?

Yeah, sorry. I was speaking broadly in case someone else was viewing this thread in years to come.
The council will behave a lot differently than say, a private parking company, as they're not so much driven by the income but they'll certainly want to cover costs and make some money out of it.

They're likely already logged on their system, and just waiting for responses back from the DVLA. They should be able to tie them all together based on her car registration. Should she contest this latest one and explain there are likely more to come? Or wait until the last one? I had a look on Google street view and very quickly saw the no right turn signal, so not much comeback there. I would certainly know not to turn right there. She's a Kiwi, hasn't driven in the UK for a few years until a couple of months ago, so I guess she's rather out of practice with the signage!
Just what she needs in the current climate of getting up at 5am to drive to school to teach kids who aren't even in the classroom. 12 hour days, and now a stream of these PCNs. There were tears tonight. Brilliant.

No help but a little anecdote to make her feel better.
Mrs Fb and I used the same route to work daily and had done for around 2 years. This route also involved cutting the very end off a bus lane to not be held up in queuing traffic and be able to turn left. We are talking not even half a car length most times .
One day a nice brown envelope arrived addressed to me, £60 bus Lane fine, Mrs Fb laughs her head off, until the following day where we had an envelope each. This continued daily for a week !!! Turns out we had 6 or 7 bus lane fines each , stuck our hands up and just coughed up as we knew we had JUST cut the end off but wrong is wrong so sucked it up. Never bloody did it again though !!!

It's worth a try. Because these were notified remotely, she wasn't given the opportunity to modify her behaviour, as she would have been had she been stopped the first time by a traffic officer. Have you been down in person to see if the sign is still there and not missing/damaged/obscured, or had her confirm on a more recent trip it's as obvious as it appears on Street View?
Just because you can see it 5 years ago (or however long) on Street View, doesn't necessarily mean it's still like that.
