Speed awareness course and National motorway Awareness

There is a three and a half year period when you cannot attend two speed awareness courses and for a second offence within the time, however trivial, you must take the points and a fine. Does anyone know if that time limit also applies to a National Motorway Awareness course? My question ( asking for a friend) is can you do both within the three years?

Not sure where you get 3 1/2 years from, it’s 3 years

Run by different agencies, so yes you should be able to do a normal sac and another different course within the 3 years

Not sure about the different agencies specifically, but you can take each of the different courses once every three years. The Motorway one is different from the regular speeding one.

You can take a motorway course within three years of a SAC. You can also take a 20mph course within that period.

Not quite.

NSAC (National Speed Awareness Course) covers speeding in all posted limits including motorway NSL offences.

NMAC (National Motorway Awareness Course) covers motorway offences - speeding in VSL; stopping illegally on the motorway or driving in closed lanes.

WDU (What's Driving Us?) covers careless driving offences.

SCD (Safe and Considerate Driving) as above but involves on road training normally reserved for post collision interventions.

In each rolling three year period you can have 1 of each course type. WDU & SCD are in the same course type so it's only open to having one of them in the 3 years.
