The ruling is that she can't return to the UK to fight her case.

She can still appeal against the revocation of citizenship from elsewhere, though, so may still be able to return to the UK at some point.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous things the UK gov has done in recent years and thats saying something! How long before a legal case is won and she is awarded significant damages, paid for by us the UK Tax payer. We are likely already footing the bill for the appeals and supreme court!

As much as I agree that we don't want people like that walking around freely in the UK, I think its far better to have her in the UK and monitored than it is to have extremists wandering around unchecked.

Bangladesh aren't going to grant her citizenship so you then end up with someone who is stateless and therefore I imagine able to claim asylum in any number of countries.

This is no different to exporting our rubbish to other countries to deal with. The UK needs to take responsibility and deal with her accordingly, repatriate, war crimes trial, jail!

Under international agreement you cannot make someone stateless. The U.K. government said that as her father was Bangladeshi she entitled to a Banglash passport under family association. Bangladesh has denied this. Her father now resides in Bangladesh most of the time now. So depending on whether she is entitled to a Bangladesh passport she may be stateless.

As she married a Dutch chap I don’t know whether she would be entitled to a Dutch passport through him if the marriage was legally recognised. I would doubt she would want to go there except as a route to the U.K. where she has friends and family. God knows what this is costing the taxpayers in fees.
