Sorry another speeding question

Was travelling on a rural Devon road in a 60mph and it suddenly went to 40mph missed the sign, didn’t know the road ?????

Went around the corner and a police car was parked up with 1 officer, I was doing 47mph didn’t see a gun but the police officer gave me a look.

Do you think he was checking speed ? or APNR

Do they not usually come after you for speeding although he was facing the opposite direction to me so wouldn’t have been able to turn around easily.

If I had to put money on it, I'd say you'd be fine and have nothing to worry about.

If you are basing the 47 mph on your speedo then decent chances that was a real 42-44 mph and within the guidelines of when to fine you.

Maybe a look at you as you were close to action being taken but otherwise it sounds like you will be OK.
