I am curious here, they admit that they broke the speed limit - will they get points on their licences too?

IMO written warning is fine - they were silly and while I'd expect better from the old bill I can understand the temptation....

Similar thing happened to a good pal and Ferrari fan.
He was at the Motorway services & a policeman came over to admire his Boxer. How fast? he said. So my pal tossed him the keys & off they went up the M1 at around 150!
Another time he was at his girlfriends house. He'd parked his 308 rather badly outside. Knock on the door, policeman said - Car's badly parked. So he tossed him the keys saying I've had a drink, would you park it for me? Policeman disappeared for about 10 minutes!
