I don’t know….. but I hope not… the whole concept seems suspect. The whole point of a POA is that your are controlling things that the person is unable to do themselves. If they can’t look after their own affairs then I can’t see how they could be expected to look after someone elses.
I suspect there is some condition/clause that the person with the POA must be physically/mentally able to perform those duties, the above scenario seems to suggest that is not the case.
