Ticketmaster advice – resold tickets
Discussion
I’m not sure where to go next with this so was after some advice. Back in October 19, I bought tickets through Ticketmaster for a gig that was due in March 20. Obviously because of covid it was rescheduled to August 20 to a date I couldn’t make. In Jan 20 I sold them through their own re-sale system. Obviously back then we didn’t know how long covid would go on for, but the gig eventually happened on 9/9/21.
As per ticket masters T&Cs you only get your money back after the gig has happened and you should receive it 10-12 working days after, it has now been twice that. I contacted them but got a very standard “we are busy, will get it to you ASAP” reply.
I’m quite frustrated about this, not so much about the money but the principle of it. They have been paid for the tickets twice now and held my money for 18 months.
Does anyone have any ideas of avenues to explore to speed them up? I’ve tried a tweet got nothing. Do you think a approaching the credit card company is wise? It’s under £100 so not sure if they would be interested.

Your card company doesn't have to help, but in my experience they will. Usually they have just credited me with the sum involved. As per ticket masters T&Cs you only get your money back after the gig has happened and you should receive it 10-12 working days after, it has now been twice that. I had a similar problem. I just let it ride and about a month later I got the money back without any additional chasing.
Its not great customer service on the face of it, but given the world has been through a lot I also understand why things take longer than normal to process. You will get it back, it'll just take longer than normal as there's a massive queue of people waiting for similar refunds.

I just get frustrated when a company uses T&Cs when it suits them but aren't able to hold up their end of the deal.
