Enfield Council have been busy restricting traffic with a Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme which everyone seems to hate. They put up tiny notices that warn drivers that cars are not allowed on certain roads.

Apparently someone used the family car 12 months ago and unintentionally drove in one of these areas (that have been allowed for decades). Received a letter yesterday saying that I hadn't responded to a PCN letter sent a year ago (that I didn't get), asking for £125.

I have no way of knowing who was driving at the time or even if the PCN is valid.

Any thoughts?

Ask for a picture - ? Does it matter who was driving the vehicle as surely whoever it was you will have to pay it.

As the offence is classified as decriminalised, IIRC as most if not all Council PCN are , then the liability to transfer to a third party is not an option. They go after the RK. It is up to the RK to go after the driver and reclaim the money he has had to spend!
