Sorted now, thought ‘what the hell’ and tried ringing this morning, answered after one ring, nearly fell off my chair, Tiny had me sorned in two minutes.
Bought a cheapish Punto a month or so ago, I only received the green slip.
Filled in the form and yesterday my logbook turned up.
I tried to sorn online and received a message saying it can not be done as the previous owner has not informed them of the sale.
Can not get through to dvla on the phone.
Anyone know a way to do it ?

Which form did you fill in? You won’t normally get a new logbook until the seller sends the logbook back informing the DVLA. Not sure why people make it so hard, you can do it all on line now including a change of keeper and it all happens in real time

I sent the green slip and a V62, said I had not received the full log book and it is then free, not £25, received a letter from dvla about 10 days ago saying it was being processed and they would send the v5 soon.

You and/or the seller seem to have made a hash of the paperwork. It really doesn't matter though, just wait until you get the new log book and then sorn it. Until such time as the keeper change goes through it will still be taxed or sorned in the previous keepers name

I said in my first post that I have just received the new logbook.
I also added a new line in the original post, I am now all sorted.
